OUR CHRISTMAS BEAR - BOOK
What a sweet story.  The picture on the cover was a perfect introduction to the book as it brings to life the cold and snowy night where they first meet their beloved Bear.  Sarah has such a way with words that I was instantly immersed in the story and the inclusion of the photographs throughout the book added another dimension that I found heartwarming and made me love this book even more!

THE HOUSE ON HARMONY STREET/IN THE FAMILY WAY 2-BOOK SET
An absolutely wonderful read!  I loved the Westover family.  Their story captured my attention from the first page and continued to hold it until the very end.  There is a mystery to solve, a family to love, and a sweet romance to enjoy.  I highly recommend!!

HOME FIRES - BOOK
This is the third installment in The Westovers of Harmony Street series and it is an absolutely delightful!  You know the saying, “I’m going to run away and join the circus”???  Well, I want to run away and join the Westovers!!  I love this family, the town and her residents.  I enjoy reading Sarah’s books so much that I tried hard to find one word that sums up my love of her stories and “cherish” is the one that comes to mind.  Her books are among my top favorites to read again and again.  Sarah has such a way with words.  She creates a world that pulls you in and doesn’t let go even after the last page.  I highly recommend “Home Fires”…The wonderful adventure continues at 25 Harmony Street!!

THE APPRENTICES - BOOK
Although it was a quick read, the story was delightful!  Once I started reading, I simply could not put it down and spent my entire evening immersed in the antics of the twins and the dynamics of the household. I had such fun reading this book.  I loved it and I highly recommend it!!

LIGHTEN OUR DARKNESS - BOOK
Being able to rely on the author’s dedication to accurate details and facts only added to this book’s riveting story, giving the reader a feeling of not only could this have happened but that it probably did.  My appreciation for the story was increased by my own family's experience during this time and I greatly enjoyed reading about it.  The characters were endearing and I loved how they cared for one another during such difficult and uncertain times.

LIGHTEN OUR DARKNESS, book 1 
The story of Jedrick and Helen really touched my heart.  What transpires from a chance meeting between our hero and heroine during an air-raid in war-torn London will set the two off on a journey together where they not only discover a love for each other but the love of our Heavenly Father.  From Jedrick’s point of view, the reader is immersed into the day to day life of the RAF and the courage they displayed in the air when faced with impossible odds.  And from Helen, we learn how the civilians who lived in a city torn apart by the battles fought above them, come together to support the each other.  Lighten Our Darkness is a compelling story of those who bravely fought for freedom in the face of danger in their country and abroad, in the air and on the ground.  This is a story that stays with you long after the final page is turned.  I loved it!

TREASURES OF DARKNESS, book 2
A story of loyalty to a country and a cause, to family and to faith in God and the determination to keep going no matter the hardships one might face.  In book two, we are introduced to Jozef, Dorota, Iggy and many others who only deepen my attachment to the Lighten Our Darkness series.  An incredibly well-written story of determination and resilience, courage and adventure amidst the devastation of WWII.  I was also delighted to discover that Jedrick, Helen and Mr. and Mrs. Clay were a key part of this book, as they had become very dear to me after getting to know them in book one.  “Treasures Of Darkness" is a fantastic and delightful addition to the entire series.  I highly recommend!

THROUGH THE DARKNESS, book 3
The riveting tale continues in “Through The Darkness”, book three in the Lighten Our Darkness series.  This is the wonderful story of James and Lucy, and the love they discovered and cherished during perilous times.  As a policeman and a nurse, together they represent the dedication of so many men and women who tirelessly worked day and night to protect and assist those in need during the bombings of London in WWII.  We follow them as they learn that no matter what we are going through, our precious Father will keep us safe…in this life and the one to come.  A fantastic story, full of excitement and danger, laughter and tears…where darkness is overcome by the Light and victory is assured.  Even though each book can stand alone, I can only offer my highest recommendation to the trilogy.   I loved each one!

THE LETTER - BOOK
I love this story so, so much and enjoyed every moment.  When I first started reading this book, I thought I knew the direction the storyline would take…that it would follow a predictable path of letters written between the hero and heroine, with a mystery and a love that surpasses all trials.  BUT, this book surprised me with all the twists and turns that I never expected and it very quickly became one of my favorite books.  I absolutely loved reading it and can only give the highest possible recommendation.  It is FANTASTIC!!!

IN GOD IS MY HOPE - BOOK
"In God is my Hope” is a breathless tale of daring rescues, adventure, courage in the face of danger, a love of family and God that endures adversity, and friendships that stand the test of time.  This book has surpassed all my expectations and is an absolute favorite of mine.  Another book by Sarah is, “The Medieval Dictionary of Common Words & Phrases” and while it is certainly not an exhaustive reference of common words and phrases, this book gives a wonderful glimpse of the Old English language used in the Middle Ages and is a great companion when reading “In God is my Hope”.
