Meet our skirt styles!

All of our skirts are designed to be one-size-fits-all. Gored skirts are made of 'gores', or trapezoid-shaped panels that enable the skirt to be wide at the hem, but not too wide at the waist.

• The original Three and Four Gored skirt is perfect for those who want more gathers at the waist and hip area, while still flaring out gently at the hem. It makes a good everyday skirt while still working well for going over petticoats, crinolines, and hoops (4-Gored is best for a hoop!).
• The Flared Gored style has less fullness at the waist, while maintaining the same width at the hem as the original. It is great for smaller waist circumferences as well as those who are looking for less gathers. The sharper angle from waist to hem gives it more 'twirlability' as well as a slimmer waist and hip. Like the original, it is also available in 3 or 4 gores (or panels) to meet your size and style needs.
• The 2-Panel Slightly Flared skirt is more boxy, with only a slight increase from waist to hem. Since it has only two panels, it does not have the fulness at the hemline that the gored styles have. Extra cute when combined with the hem ruffle!
• ​The Full style was our very first skirt! It is a box style, with the same measurement at the waist and hem. If you would like lots of gathers at the waist, this is your skirt! Wonderful over hoops, but it even maintains a nice full outline without underskirts. If used for reenacting or historical events, it covers all the eras needing a really full skirt. Choose from Standard fullness or Extra Full.

Quality Fabric

Our high-quality, 100% cotton fabric is sturdy and will last for years of wear. Each length was washed and dried before production to control shrinkage, and to ensure the proper lay of the skirt. ​

Durable Waistband

Triple strength waistband is sturdy, and the buttonhole openings hold up to repeated tying of the drawstring.

Innovative Drawstring Closure

​Both drawstring options use the same cotton cord, but the Cotton Cord Only is a solid cord; our exclusive 'Comfort Drawstring'  has a bit of elastic in addition to the cord to make the skirt waist more comfortable. It offers the gentle ease of elastic with the adjustability of a drawstring, holds gathers,
and is easy to tie.

Another Beautiful Skirt!
The skirt is beautiful and very flattering. It works wonderfully for my 1880s Great Florida Cattle Drive re-enactment events. This is my second skirt I've purchased, this one has the ruffle at the bottom which adds a little extra flare to the design. The adjustable waistband is perfect and very comfortable.

After a nail-biting delay in customs, my beautiful skirts have arrived!
The Brazytis ladies have outdone themselves.  They were so kind while discussing my needs for extra pockets and customization. The skirts are perfect - well fitting, sturdy, beautifully stitched, and with all the pockets I could wish for!  I keep wearing them and doing little spins and pocket-dances.  Initially, I was worried that the two panel skirt might not move or drape as nicely as the three-gore, but it does.
I cannot recommend Gathering of Goods enough - I wear their clothes every day in a busy clinic environment, and outdoors while doing street nursing.  Their clothes are beautiful, but they also hold up to foul weather, dust, and frequent washing!

3-Gore Comfort Drawstring Skirt
​This is a great skirt! It does feel ‘one size fits all’. It is comfortable and so soft (I got it in flannel for winter) :) I just got it and have already worn it so many times!

Plaid Diagonal
I bought it as a costume. On it’s own, the fabric is a bit sticky. Over a polyester petticoat it works. My student actress is tiny (24 inch waist) and I am going to have to shorten the elastic. But I love the diagonal matching which is not easy with plaids.
